In this guide, you'll learn what Passengers and Regular Lines are, how to use them effectively, and how they can benefit your station's progress. This guide is great for new players that are just getting started and want an in-depth look at one of game's core features.

• What are passengers and how to unlock them?

Passengers can be utilized once Passenger Station is unlocked. To unlock the Passenger Station, players must first reach certain requirements.

• Reach the year 1933
• Unlock Pittsburgh
• Complete the quest Penn Station in the main storyline

All of the requirements can be completed by progressing through the main storyline.

• Passenger Station

After Passenger Station has been unlocked, Passengers will begin generating automatically. The Passengers can then be loaded and sent on Passenger Jobs using trains specifically for transferring passengers.

Passenger trains can be identified by different visuals and displayed Passenger capacity in the bottom left corner.

• Passenger Jobs

Passenger Jobs work similarly to regular jobs, except in this instance you are delivering only Passengers. Passenger Jobs are a great way to stock up on money. To complete a Passenger Job, it is necessary to send out the required amount of Passengers for the mission to complete.

• Regular Lines

After all of the passenger jobs & cargo jobs/heavy hauls for the specific Era have been completed, players will be able to establish Regular Line in their Passenger Station.

To utilize a Regular Line it is necessary to assign it at least 1 passenger train.

To fully utilize a Regular Line, make sure your trains have passenger capacity that meets or exceeds the line’s highest upgrade requirement.

• What to do if my Passenger Station is Empty?

If you are unable to find either the Regular Transport option or Passenger Jobs in your Passenger Station, players will need to complete all of their remaining Cargo Jobs/Heavy Hauls first, as the Regular Transport option unlocks after the mentioned Jobs are completed. Although the Passenger Station is full of passengers, players will need to progress to a new era and unlock new Passenger Jobs to send out passengers.

• Swapping Trains

If you have misplaced a train on the regular line or changed your mind and want to put another one, worry not. Simply click on the red button next to the train to remove it:

It is necessary to have at least one spot assigned on the regular line once it has been activated. That's why we will have to fill the empty spot with a different train. Simply tap on "Select" and choose a different train. Then tap on Confirm to save changes.

• Can't send your train on normal or passenger jobs?

Feeling like the train you wanna send out on a job is not appearing in your list? This instance may occur when the train is assigned to do an automated task such as occupying a Regular Line. Visit your Locomotive Depot and look for the train you can't send out. If the train has this icon it is assigned to do an automated task and thus can't be used for regular jobs.

To use the train once again, swap it and assign a different train to do the task.

Players with automated regular lines may notice a lack of passenger jobs. This is a normal part of gameplay and not a bug. New passenger jobs will become available in the next era or during specific events. Please plan your strategy with this in mind.
